HarvestSounds is a sound effects player, designed for live drama performances by churches, schools, etc. It's easy to use, scene based, and sounds can be assigned to a hot key for quick firing. Sounds can be panned left/right and pre-adjusted for volume, too.

Great Christian audio! This is quality stuff - created for radio broadcast but free for church use. There is a moderately lengthy registration form required, but it's worth it.

Although called "Christian Powerpoints", these are really worship slides that can be used with any presentation software, including any worship software package. This site mostly sells visuals, but has a generous collection of over 130 free slides available. Be sure to scroll down to see the images. NVU is a WYSIWYG editor for web sites along the lines of FrontPage or Dreamweaver. It's available for PC, Mac or Linux, it's open-source, and it's free! It's also pretty easy to use while still being powerful.

This is a pay site. However, they have a very generous, quality "free sample" section (which requires giving your email address). The Books of the Bible backgrounds alone are worth it.

Every year youth ministry publisher Group Publishing gives away a substantial resource - a book, a DVD, etc. For 2006, it's a DVD to help you makeover your ministry.

Different from most youth ministry sites, which tend to focus on programming ideas, this site offers the answers to a wide variety of youth ministry questions. Unfortunately, too often the answer is a resource for sale. However, it also sometimes points to a helpful webpage.
